В книге освещены теоретические вопросы, связанные с механизмом разрушения горных пород взрывом, и практические вопросы обоснования и выбора основных параметров взрывных работ. Приведены данные о зонах разрушения пород взрывом и новые материалы о величине перебура, влиянии забойки и формы заряда на качество дробления пород взрывом, результаты экспериментальных работ по взрыванию скважинных зарядов в зажатой среде и высоких уступов при многорядном короткозамедленном взрывании, а также передовой опыт управления действием взрыва сква-жинных зарядов на рудных и нерудных карьерах.

Free-Space Laser Communications. Principles and Advances (Optical and Fiber Communications Reports)
Free-space laser communications, also referred to as optical communications, is a popular subject in today’s technological marketplace. A number of conferences on this subject have been organized by professional societies such as SPIE (the International Society of Photo Optical and Instrumentation Engineering), OSA (Optical Society of America), and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). The evolving technology of free-space laser communications is emerging as an appealing alternative to RF communications for links between satellites, as well as a promising addition to terrestrial applications such as video or computer linkups between buildings. There is a pressing need for more information on laser communications that is comprehensive enough to provide in-depth knowledge of free-space communications, and that can satisfy the current demands of the research and commercial needs.

Статистические методы выделения геофизических аномалий.
В книге рассмотрены теоретические и методические вопросы выделения геофизических аномалий на фоне помех. В ней изложены общие принципы статистической обработки геофизических полей с целью выделения аномалий, заключающиеся в выборе математической модели, изучении спект-ральных и корреляционных свойств аномалий и помех, выборе оптимального фильтра и проведении фильтрации, принятии решения о наличии полезной аномалии, количественной оценке надежности и разрешающей способности проведенной обработки.

Electronic Warfare. Receivers and Receiving Systems
Receiver systems can be considered to be the core of electronic warfare (EW) intercept systems. Without them the fundamental purpose of such systems is null and void. In this work we consider the major elements that make up receiver systems and the receivers that go in them. Receiver system architectures are introduced in Chapter 1. Basic nomenclature and system functioning are covered, including the key system performance parameters. Spread spectrum signaling is introduced as that, along with non-spread digital signaling, is the foundation of most communication systems in which we are interested. The chapter concludes with an overview of collection management on the battlefield. EW signal collection is but one of many ways information is collected, and it is useful to see where EW fits with some of the other disciplines.
