Life is shaped by many people, not only too numerous to recall, but also part of ones forgotten history. The various teachers who bounced me from art into science A Levels were formative. The teachers at University College, London, especially Gordon Childe and Nigel Barnicot, were an immense influence. Jack Trevor in Cambridge, Kenneth Oakley in the British Museum (Natural History), Geoff Dimbleby of the Institute of Archaeology, and Martin Carver in York, all supported my moves in the academic world.

This book analyzes ideas, government policies and practices, and language that are offensive to twenty- first century readers. I have there fore placed terms such as mulatto, half- breed, half- caste, and white Australia ideal in quotation marks when first used in each chapter. I do this out of respect for the people objectified by the ideas and policies analyzed in this book and to underscore the historically constructed, and contested, nature of racial and gendered categories. However, so as not to clutter the text with quotation marks I have chosen not to use such markers after first indicating the offensive and constructed nature of these terms.

Kresna Acitya Media Nusantara is a company that dedicated to maximize impact of scientific publication, and Relawan Jurnal Indonesia, is a non-profit organization in field of scientific publication. The conference will be held virtually using Zoom webinar on October 15, 2020. This conference was successfully acquired 180 participants and 57 presenters from 4 countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Uzbekistan.
