ADABIYOT NAZARIYASI
Atoqli adabiyotshunos olim, akademik Izzat Sulton o'zbek tilidagi - birinchi Adabiyot nazariyasi" darsligining muallifi. 1939- yilda nashr etilgan mazkur darslik uzoq yillar mobaynida nafaqat O'zbekistonda. balki O'rta Osiyodagi boshqa respublikalarda ham fanning shu sohasi bo'yicha birdan-bir o'quv qo'llanmasi bo'lib xizmat etgan. Qo'lingizdagi Adabiyot nazariyasi" darsligi olimning uzoq yillar davomida adabiyotshunos va yozuvchi sifatida olib borgan faoliyatining ma'lum ma'noda ijodiy samarasi, adabiy-nazariy yakunidir. Izzat Sulton ushbu darslikda adabiyotning ijtimoiy vazifalari va o'ziga xosligi, adabiy asar, adabiy turlar va janrlar, she'riy nutq, ijodiy metod va uslub singari nazariy masalalarni bugungi qarashlar asosida tushuntirish va talqin etishga alohida e'tibor bergan. U yoki bu masalaga oid nazariy fikrlarini jahon adabiyoti, shu jumladan, o'zbek adabiyoti materiallari asosida dalillagan. Darslik oliy o'quv yurtlarining filologiya fakultetlari, ijtimoiy- gumanitar yo'nalishdagi o'rta va maxsus o'quv yurtlarining talabalari uchun mo'ljallangan.

Бо нияти тарбияи дурусту хаматарафан мутахассисони адабиёти баден фанҳов «Мадхали адабиётшиносӣ», «Шеършиноси», «Таърихи накди адаби» та лим дода мешаванд, ки бо назариёти адиби вобастания. Аз баски назарияв адабиёт дар системаи илмхои филологи мако ми намоёнеро ишғол менамояд ва бинобар он ки дониши мустаҳками назари нишони камолоти суханшинос ҳисоб ме ёбад, ин илм боре чув предмети алохидаи плани дар скиф- кон боло омухта мешавад.

Рим империясида қуллар аёвсиз эксплуатация қилинар эди. Қуллар ишлаб чиқариш маҳсулотидан манфаатдор бўлмаганлиги сабабли, уларнинг меҳнати унумсиз эди. Йирик қулдорлар қул меҳнатига арзон ишчи кучи сифатида қарар эдилар. Бинобарин, арзон қул меҳнатини қўлга киритишга интилиш босқинчилик урушларини келтириб чиқарар, асир ва тутқунлар қуллар сафини тобора кенгайтирар эди. «Антик (қадимги) қуллик, — деб кўрсатади Ф. Энгельс, — ёшини яшаб бўлган эди. Йирик қишлоқ хўжалигида ҳам, шаҳар мануфактураларида ҳам қуллик қуллар сарф қилган меҳнатни қопларли даромад бермайдиган бўлиб қолган эди, қуллар ишлаб чиқарган маҳсулотларни сотиш бозори йўқ бўлиб кетган эди».

Reflective Practice in Language Teaching
This Element examines the concept of reflective practice in language teaching, reconsidering a framework for a holistic approach to language teacher re flection and reflective practice. It includes a brief description of reflective practice and how it is operationalized by two of its main protagonists, John Dewey and Donald Schön, as well as some of the limitations of their conceptions. This Element is used as an introduction to how the author developed Dewey and Schön’s ideas when creating a five-stage framework of reflective practice for language teachers. The author then presents an in-depth case study of the reflections of an English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher working in Costa Rica as he moved through the five stages of the framework. The author then outlines and discusses how reflective practice may be moved forward and calls attention to the importance of emotions in the process of reflection for language teachers.
